Laws of Reasoning

Gives various laws of reasoning including laws of detachment transitivity contrapositive ruling out possibilities and indirect reasoning. Proofs are used extensively in Geometry but there are many applications outside of Math. The two laws of deductive reasoning in geometry are listed; that is, Law of Detachment and the Law of Transitivity (aka Law of Syllogism or Chain Rule). Also listed are some laws of indirect reasoning. It is handy to have in one place in the classroom reminders of some of the basic tools of proof. Poster size: 19" by 25".
